The peal of a bell marks the boundary of a parish. I’m attempting to map it’s phonic borders.
Text presses the bounds of my work; faded signage instructs a narrative populated by eBay listings, fishermen, menders and sentient bells. The marginalia in turn informs a sculptural practice of odorous waxworks and oiled paper. All these objects are silent and wanting
